Key Advice: Avoid being around the fire while making the hand sanitizer at home and also right after using any hand sanitizer. All the hand sanitizers contain some form of alcohol which is flammable and can burn your hands in case of getting in contact with fire.
Step 1 – Rubbing Alcohol:
Put 2/3rd proportion of Rubbing Alcohol or Isopropyl Alcohol in the vessel. Rubbing Alcohol should have 90 percent or above alcohol content in it.
According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), for hand sanitizers to be effective in germ-killing, there should be 60 percent or above alcohol in the mixture that’s why we are using 2/3rd proportion of Alcohol.
You don’t wanna your hands to get too dry that why avoid putting a higher content of alcohol that 2/3rd.

Step 2 – Take Aloe Vera Gel:
Put 1/3rd proportion of Aloe Vera gel in the vessel. As alcohol dry our hands apart from killing the germs, we mix it with Aloe Vera gel to prevent the dryness and providing the moisture to the hands.
Mix the Rubbing Alcohol & Aloe Vera gel well.

Step 3 – Essential oils:
Add Few drops of essential oils in the mixture to give fragrance to the hand sanitizer and your homemade Hand Sanitizer is ready to fight with germs.
